Conceived over the course of many trips to places not often seen and gradually given life over bus rides through strange locations and in the hammocks of a Maputo backpackers. Undiscovered Country is a writers’ project inspired by the idea that travel – in the many different definitions that it enjoys – is fundamentally an activity that changes you.

Seeing more of the world – not simply in the distant and exotic places, but also in the spaces right in front of you that you never noticed before – is transformative. The more you see of the world, the harder it is to forget the learning that it brings about. Undiscovered Country is a celebration of those spaces that travel unlocks and of the growing and learning that they contain. It is a salute to the spirit of exploration, of trying new things, pushing the boundaries of what we know and challenging each other to do the same.
